It would be a pain, literally, to work in such lab. No ergonomics. Just imagine doing a full working day with those stools, debugging circuits and all.

No they do not. I have seen many CAD stations with Windows on Mac. They do make solid hardware. Not sure for CATIA, but this is true for Zuken, Altium and SolidWorks at least; and Mentor Graphics and Cadence.

This kind of makes sense in a strange way. Inexpensive red LED's have relatively narrow spectral line half width (~20nm) and you can set detection thresholds against measured values. This is much better than "I think I saw somethi

Most likely not an FCC (EMC) issue. This sounds like direct inductive coupling from speaker D class amplifier output (or power, which would be worse, but not likely) circuit at <100 kHz. Below 30 MHz only conducted emissions are measured

F1 engines used to last only one race, 2 hours max. Now there is a rule that max 4 engines can be used per season, resulting in engine life of 20 hours or so.

Same here. Learned on Pb last century, but have not touched it much since the industry made the shift (2006). It is so much easier to make bad joints that look good with leaded solder. Bad joint with SAC305 or SN100C looks like a bad joint.
