If the data sucks, how are you going to present any other reasonable expert view than the one he presented? Manufacturing some grand view and recommendations based on untrustworthy data is something that needs to be avoided, however much we

There is a lot of research into traditional medicine. It's just that when any form is found effective it becomes just medicine. Uneffective ones stay in the realm of traditional medicine. There was a quite nice editorial on the subject

Indeed. I think it's pretty ridiculous how critical people here are of these raises. It's as if Dan is doing something unnatural when he's not maximising his own profits.

They are at disadvantage only if Dan's motivation is to maximise profits. That does not appear to be the motivation.

I've worked both full-time remotely and full-time at the office(both own single person office and open office plan) and much in between. For me the significant variables are commuting time, office plan, co-workers and family. When I ha

Yup, it looks very nice, but I doubt that I'd get full usage out of it in 6 months. I'd have to time buying it very carefully. So most likely won't buy.

I think you touch a key issue here. Changing the situation is really difficult. From consumer point of view pirating and campaigning for changing laws are pretty much the only ways that have potential to make a difference. Boycotting is not
