One of the better scrollbar hijacking pages I've seen but it's still pretty jerky and it's really hard for me to get it to land on the sign up part. Im using Chrome Canary on a Macbook Pro, scrolling with the two finger gestu

Probably manufacturing differences and legal reasons. If the average battery life is x and someone gets a battery they can prove is x - 50 they might get sued, where as if they put a generous minimum battery life they can cover their asses.

Really looking forward to Pyston, curious why they say they're targeting better performance in 0.3 and not finish up the language compatability from 0.2. Also, does anyone know if GVR is involved in this at all? Seeing as he works for

Seconded, the site honestly looks like it was made by someone who just took their first web design class. It instantly turned me off to the site when I first saw it.

> EDIT: Adjusting newlines, forgot that newfags can't triforce. Seriously? I get that it's a 4chan reference but really I thought HN was better than using slurs like that even in jest.

Could it be that they are aggressive not because of the context switch but the fact that you are forcing it on them? I know I sure as hell hated when my parents told me to stop playing video games but had no problem quitting while I was in

I myself, and many of my friends, fall into that category. I realize for some that a mechanical watch may be a fashion icon or status symbol but for most, it's utterly useless. It tells time and my phone already does that.

Seems like they could easily fix this with robots.txt or something similar, I really doubt it's oversight on their part either. Any ideas why they're doing this?

Depends on your OS IMO. I had been using IntelliJ on Ubuntu 14.04 and the font rendering was awful, recently got a MacBook Pro and it's gorgeous.

Honestly I couldn't tell the difference visually, but it was much slower using OpenJDK as opposed to Oracle on Ubuntu 14.04

Apple Pay doesn't actually deal with banks or credit card processors. It's just the frontend for the actual physical payment(card swipe or nfc).

Yea I've been there, the local co-op was a ton of fun really. The only downside was that the framerate drops a bit if you have more than 3(2?) players.

PSO was playable just fine offline and split-screen however. And if anyone is interested SCHTSERV[1] is a PSO private server that is still up. They have gamecube, dreamcast, and PC clients. [1] http://www.schtserv.com/

You probably won't even get 100% accurate device emulation in Chrome but if you can cut your on-device testing down by 75% it should speed things up a lot.

Yep I've been using Canary for at least 6 months and It's had it. Moving it to mainline chrome is a big deal however, a lot of people don't use Canary.

I enjoy wearing my glasses, as it allows me to see :) Regardless I think smart glasses are much more useful than a smart watch mainly because of how it can overlay things into your field of vision. Word Lens is a really cool example of this
