The point was to show that machines can produce knifes with precision. The other commenter stated that "CNC can't do the tolerances needed behind the apex.", whatever that means exactly.

Are you talking about a chef's knife? If well done, I see no reason why it should be any worse than a high end knife made by a skilled human. Have a look at this if you're interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?

They have "bottom of the barrel" and slightly better quality products. But the better products are nowhere near the (top) end of the range.

The upcoming INDX looks promising. But I can't see how Prusa solves the "dust and moisture" problem. They don't have something like Bambu Lab's AMS, do they? Same problem with the Snapmaker U1. Edit: the Snapmaker U

I have a problem: I'm in the market for a new 3D printer. My old Ultimaker 2 is still going strong, but it's from a different generation and doesn't fit my needs anymore. Looking purely at features, I really want a Bambu Lab

With AirSane [1], you can make scanners integrate nicely with macOS. This page [2] has a writeup (in German) how to set it up on a RaspberryPi. On non-macOS devices you can still use the web interface, as demonstrated by the "yes-we-sc

As an outsider, trying to make some UI/UX changes in old open source projects is often extremely energy consuming and difficult. You have to convince all the old hands, who feel it's their project (maybe rightfully so) that the ch

Graphically perfect, but content-wise nonsense. The pelican's center of gravity is clearly behind the wheel. It needs to be above or very slightly ahead of the wheel.

YouTube, as well as any decent player, plays any aspect ratio video, even portrait mode. As an uploader you should never add black bars (if they are in the source, crop them out before uploading) and of course never distort the video. This

This is cool. I would totally use this if I had a SoundTouch speaker. My mother has one at home – unfortunately there's no way to run a local server. Annoying design choice by Bose, that the speaker even needs a server for the presets.
