Elon is a very smart guy. I think he was playing a bit dumb there on purpose. Probably a pull sales tactic. The more vague he is about what Vicarious does, the more everyone is going to be talking about it. Now instead of him having to

Bryan Hance has been doing great work on this front for a long time. When I was making software to monitor CL, he recommended the free version to his users that needed to be alerted when their bikes went on sale. I was glad to be able to

If you buy stolen property in the US, even if unaware, you must forfeit it when the owner or the police catch up with you. If you're aware, it's illegal. Better not buy that stolen bike then, huh? Even better, to call the proper

The first part about Keynes is depressing. It presupposes there is only one winner. This is what anti-capitalists want everyone to believe. One winner, everyone else is a loser.

You know what they say, 97% of statistics are made up ;) I of course picked an absurdly high number because even with two absurdly high numbers it still only nets 2%.

I think you have it backwards. I would like to be able to call the police to report an ACTUAL crime...but unfortunately, they would be too busy investigating reports by paranoid folks who think they've seen a possible crime.

I've thought long and hard about it... Still makes no difference. For it to make a difference you would have to leap to the conclusion that a woman stole the car, stole a kid (?), and then left the stolen car and the kid in the parkin

Yeah, I knew kids that had dogs growing up. We all think it's safe, but alas, family dogs kill children. I guess we all suffer from that survivorship bias. The lesson here is anyone with a family dog should have their children taken

Seriously, this is my number one reason for not having kids. For the younger crowd who may not understand, I was born in '77: - I rode in the back hatch (no seats) of my dad's corvette until I was 8, cops would wave to us. - At 6
