I felt like I got on the k8s bandwagon relatively late, due to my natural distrust of new things, in this case containers. So I started setting up k8s clusters on-prem at work in 2019. It's 3.5 years later and my takeaway is that k8s s

Happy to see it, but unlike others in this thread I have no issue at all with Tmux. The way people are reacting to zellij is how I reacted going from screen to tmux. It was so much easier to understand and quickly get started doing advanced

I did this at community college ~15 years ago. So I'm mostly improvising regarding my cycle being that long. I'd say it's around 60 minutes. Specifics don't matter after a while because you build new habits and do them w

Ever since I learned of sleep cycles, and how to measure my own, I've pretty much governed my life around them. Each person has a cycle where they go between waking and resting state. The trick is to go to bed when you're headed i

Good for you, but we're talking about identifying users of large social media platforms to ensure children don't use them.

Now you're splitting hairs. Obviously I mean any letter of substance where identification is a crucial factor. Not your anonymous love letters to your childhood sweetheart.

Not necessarily. An eID can also just make a call to the eID issuer, identifying the person, and then a callback to the service indicating that the identified person complies with certain requirements like age. Think of it as a bouncer at t

You mean if the issuer of the eID violates people's privacy, in violation of the first amendment. That's what you have courts for.

And it would be fraud. And it was a huge problem when people did that. If you got caught you were done. In a digital world we can combat such fraud in vastly different ways.

Those forefathers had no idea we'd be using a global digital medium. In the 18th century your word was everything, and your identity was tied to your word. When you came into town, or a tavern, or wherever, you had to identify yourself

I've been working with domain registrars since 2004, and while I haven't really kept current on the latest trends I do know that our national ccTLD has very good conflict arbitration. So my suggestion is always to get a TLD where

Nothing prevents the owner of the code to audit it themselves, but everyone else should also be able to. I think if you release code related to important everyday things like cars, everyone who is able will want to take a look. And you neve

I'm not the person you replied to but I agree, because it's related to public safety. Same with aviation software. Anything that deals with public safety should be audited by the public.
