That's untrue. You can upgrade to a newer release version if there is one. (source: just did this today with 10.3) You only need to restore if you want to downgrade to a release version when you are on a later beta.

Mediacom (cable internet in Iowa) does something similar. They insert a banner on the top of every HTTP page you view telling you when you're about to go over your 350GB data cap. Will appear until you click a button to dismiss it.

I have now had mine in twice with key issues. Out of the box, my 'b' key would type 'bb' about 60% of the time instead of just 'b'. 15-day repair that involved apparently replacing the entire front panel, track

Looks exactly like iTunes. Other than being "simpler" and only for music, how is it better than iTunes.

Not sure if you're serious about 1 update per year...iOS has ~4 major releases per year. (9.0, 9.1, 9.2, 9.3). Safari receives updates in each one. iOS 10.3, which is in beta, comes with tons of Safari changes.

It's quite obvious. Just tried it myself [1]. You first select an identity to use to auto-fill. When doing that, it will tell you the data it will insert in the subtitle. You can also click customize and choose what data to place into

I don't think this is a big deal. That indicator was ridiculously inaccurate anyway. If you want it back, use iStat Menus.

Per Apple's developer docs, if background app refresh is off, the app can't process location updates in the background. This was mentioned elsewhere in this thread as well.

Turning off Background app refresh and removing the app from the recent apps list will accomplish this.

I highly doubt it. It's not like there is any leftover space inside these laptops. They made them thinner, and took out some of the screen bezel, making it a smaller width and height as well. The battery life did not get worse, since t

A very flawed argument above. I assume it's to mean that since Clinton won a majority of votes from lower income people, which factory workers would fall under, the only factory workers that voted for Trump are high-paid ones, which wo

For it to be useful, they need 3rd party developer adoption. With it available on just one device, it's already hard enough for them. Why restrict their cool new tech to an optional status? Seems to me that Apple sees this as the futur

Since iOS's inception, it has run the exact same kernel as the Mac. They developed separate UI layers for separate devices, but the underlying system has always been the same. They do seem to be bringing the higher level components tog

Since the Touch Bar is essentially separate from macOS, running its own pseudo-OS, it will work in other OS'es like Windows and Linux just fine. You'll just have a static function row and no context-relevant buttons.
