A fairly popular alpha release game Rust [1] is built on Unity and runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux. [1] http://store.steampowered.com/agecheck/app/252490/

According to the article they are charging 19 yuen for something that costs (presumably at scale) 60 yuen and have no real way to ensure they don't get stolen this way. Not sure what they really expect :\

In my opinion I find that the hard truth is that (1) linux battery performance will always be worse than windows and (2) over time linux will completely destroy your battery. I've found that using a thinkpad and the TLP program helps 1

Not a Mac user but do they ever release a top-end product that was less powerful than last year's top-end product? If not hasn't ever top-end mac ever been the most powerful mac ever?

I had the same reaction and then I felt oddly nostalgic when I landed on an Amazon page that dealt with books.

I'd prefer to see firefox attempt to disrupt the browser UI landscape somehow (in the same way tabs-in-the-browser did way back when) than see them just copy another design. Firefox decided it wanted to look like Chrome and now it

Yes but not like I used to. When I was younger and had time I would bookmark things, organize them, and use them to navigate to sites of interest. Now I simply use bookmarks as a dumping ground for 'something I need to see but later

Actually on my ubuntu 14.04 machine due to a bug I do need more than 4GB of RAM to do just that. Since the machine only has 4 GB of RAM I really appreciate swap space :)

If someone sold hardware that came with some guarantee that a major linux distro had 100% support of all the hardware I would definitely consider buying it. I use ThinkPads because their support is pretty good (and I like the physical devi

Not doubting you but has anyone produced metrics to show a drop off in adoption, install, usage of Ubuntu after Unity came around? I was one of those people but I suspect I can't be the majority. Today I use it and honestly dunno why

Unfortunately for me most of the applications I have access to (and want to have installed) do not have custom patches including functionality like that. I'm left with C-a S as my only native option.

For me it is too late. SF used to be the place I looked first. Recently I wanted to download windirstat and could only find it hosted on SF so I opted instead to LiveCD and just use some gnu tool.
