I understand your sentiment (I'm not the one voting you down) and I hope you do understand where we are coming from. The whole idea of 'using HTML5 for an app' is based on the notion that 'that way all HTML5 supporting devices should be abl

It should work on android? Did you test that? If I visit the webpage there is nothing there except the message that this is a tech demo and that I should visit it on an iOS device. Pressing the Menu button doesn't reveal any kind of 'add to

Ok, wait a minute. I always thought people preferred HTML5 over <insert platform specific API here> is that well, it's platform independent. So I opened this app on my android phone... and nothing happened. Basically it said 'this (

And if I remember correctly that linked to just a video of how dropbox works, without Drew actually having a working product (but you couldn't see that on the video).

The usual problems sadly also apply to Rhapsody: "Sorry, we are not able to offer Rhapsody Premier at this time. We are not able to offer Rhapsody Premier in Netherlands (substitute for just about any non-US country) at this time. For the l

I think it's a good idea to add a 'payments provided by PayPal' link or something. I had to find out what I could use to pay by just ordering something. And what's with the 'profit-to-date' field? Can anybody see that? Edit: Oh, and before

Okay, at the risk of sounding a bit sleezy, here some tips I found useful myself: 1. Never, ever, give out information about previous compensation. Always attempt to deflect that with "I don't feel comfortable talking about that yet" (and g

Well actually I do. If they don't want me as a customer, so be it, but that's their choice to make. I'll usually import the DVD box from somewhere around the world (mostly the UK, Singapore or Hong Kong) as soon as I can find it. These DV

Appirater looks like a great tool to get good reviews. Inspired by this blogpost (and because I don't make iOS apps) I decided to create an Android port for it this morning as a gift to myself and HN of course ;-) Feedback is greatly apprec

A friend recently bought a ZTE Blade. I haven't tried it personally but he's very exited with it, and looking at the specs it seems to be a good, cheap android phone. It's available in a few countries other than the US like the UK, France a

It's actually interesting that they already account for dividends and taxes. Usually if people talk about a 10% return, they are talking about pre-tax returns. I remember seeing a 'rolling S&P500 results' page somewhere but can't rememb

Can you explain? Did you miss the 'per year' part? You're saying $50,- per month for 3-4 people is 'small business' and $65,- per month for 5 people is 'enterprise'? That doesn't make any sense to me.

Just wondering, did you miss the 'per year' part? Box.net is in the same price range. It's a little bit cheaper if you're using more than the 350GB dropbox offer, but under 500GB, with four users or less. Extra users cost $180,- per year, c

Even with a local server, you still want offsite backups. Guess what? If you stay under 1TB, this is probably the cheapest offsite backup solution for servers.

Can you elaborate a bit? Are you looking for something a bit more 'in between', like a 200GB package? (Price per GB hasn't changed much from the 100GB package to the 350GB package, so I guess that ain't the problem.)

It all depends on how much data you really use. Since sharing folders takes up space in all accounts that use the share, 7x50GB != 350GB shared storage. My initial thought was the opposite, "Wow, this is incredibly cheap for that much dropb

That will probably not be any problem, since you're flagging stories that lots of others flag as well. It probably works by checking if you flag completely different from 'most' people.
