Nah, I'd say just do more anti-monopoly anti-inequality work. Probably start internally, that's a massive enough task on its own (eg breaking up big tech). Assist other countries eg with aid if (and only if) they are doing the sam

Yes, competition is good. Monopoly is bad. A more distributed power structure is much better for overall progress, and even for the monopolist in the long run (Ex: Intel).

Colonial/empire mentality. It always comes home to roost, and the people are always surprised when it does.

Society pays for cars in a lot of ways other than just taxes. Roads/highways/parking takes up tons of valuable land (opportunity costs). Cars cause a lot of medical conditions, from respiratory/cardiovascular diseases, to ob

Trump is the party of descendants of those slave owners. If he's on your side, you really should rethink your position. He usually loves autocrats, what do you think is going on?

Assuming it's not already too late. By the time my dad started exercising, he already had stage 4 cancer (without knowing it). He only did it for half a month, and was gone 6 months later. Speed of execution matters.

Yeah in US history nobody cried about "liberty" and "freedom" more than the slave owners. Were they right? Technically yes. Do I care? Nah. Not really. Good luck and have fun!

I don't like evaluating an entire supreme court based on 1 case. I'm not a 1 issue voter. Often you find people banging on 1 issue actually care about other things the court ruled on, like covid lockdowns, or they really want to d

Agreed with due process, but look at how Germany treats Nazis. Speech and expression related to Nazism is heavily regulated and subjects you to imprisonment. Demonstrations/rallies are often banned. The Nazi party itself is banned. AfD

Whatever is worth doing is worth doing badly. Obamacare wasn't perfect, but it had tons of positive effects and could later be improved. Republicans seem to be the only ones with a 50-year plan and the discipline to see it through. ht

Agreed, but I suggest that's only part of the story. For some reason, workers in the west don't organize/vote by class any more. https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2020/04/why-americans-dont-v...

Look at Intel's history. Concentration of power (monopoly) generally leads to corruption/abuse and stifled innovation. It's bad even for the monopolist . The second China becomes powerful enough to throw their military aroun

Maybe check what's their workload otherwise. Most engineers I've worked with want to do a good job and ship something useful. It's possible they're offloading work to the LLM because they're under a lot of pressure.

American workers don't care about "socialism". Look who they elected president. He won the popular vote. Eventually they will be forced to care when things get bad enough -- and it's definitely trending that way fast [1]

You can't get your spouse to exercise, and if you try too hard they might divorce you. You can't get most Americans to care about anything they consider "socialism", and if you try too hard you'll get Trump.
