"Crippling" seems a bit hyperbolic. I'd reckon most PC gamers probably don't even notice, though once you start noticing it's hard to "unsee" it, but that doesn't make the game unplayable.

SurveyAnalytics does all of the things you mentioned above, and I feel like Qualtrics does as well. Not that every system isn't limited in someway though. For examples, I've not seen anywhere that can branch based on a ranking question, whi

For those of us that don't feel like we need cable and only rarely watch OTA broadcasts the ability for GoogleTV to connect to cable or an antenna isn't very attractive. Roku's extensive list of additional channels, simplicity, and compactn

Yeah, another social science guy here. My employer has found my statistical and behavioral knowledge very valuable, but I'm not much of a coder yet so it doesn't seem like I'm yet able to market myself as a data scientist. I've been doing s

Google Hangouts works with apps too, not just a computer browser. I've been using it with my work team for about a year since we're often spread across the country and it's been amazing. We tried Skype, but it often didn't load the video fe

No, it doesn't need to be in order for the illustration to be apt. "If it isn't broke, don't fix it" is a mentality asking for disruption.

This isn't change for the sake of being different, it's a radical (and risky) attempt at change such that the mobile and desktop environments become merged. And you Microsoft Office ribbon example is great! That was another change that many

The point is a lot of those "figures" aren't real or objectively driven, they're just numbers being shuffled around within the company to make the movie seem more expensive. There's a wikipedia article on it that may make the concept more c

I can't get Swype to stop autocorrecting normal words to gibberish, no matter how many times I remove the gibberish word from the dictionary. For example, every time I type "do" it becomes "siop" and nothing I can do impacts this.
