Why do you do this? While I can appreciate the technical achievement, you know most users of forums and imageboards don’t want any AI content at all.

MediaWiki on a VPS is comfy. Installation is easy. Plus you get to make the original wiki skin the default for the authentic wiki experience.

I switched to iPhone after they added the tracker blocking to the OS. Everything is a tradeoff. I’d love to live in the F droid alt tech land, but everything really comes down to utility. Messaging my friends is more important than using th

You’re completely right and yet the sight of one fills me with desire. Possibly because it has a direct line right back to the original Macintosh. Such that when I showed my 11yo cousin my Macintosh SE, he called it an ‘iMac’.

I tried to watch the McAfee documentary and gave up after 20 minutes of that slog. How they managed to make the documentary about this man boring is beyond me, and answering that would itself make a more interesting documentary. In short, i

It's very usable when paired with PcManFM, and there are a plethora of themes available. Customising is done by an intuitive config file. There are tools to auto-generate the application menu, so you don't need to toil after insta

If so it'd be different in that regard. I was thinking of it more as the better-engineered underdog that lost out to the more corporate-friendly option. IIRC it had full duplex unlike USB 1/2, it launched well before USB with a fa

You can adapt and fit in to the establishment, and I wouldn't suggest any moral problem with it. We definitely need stability - the raising of children requires it, trappings like clubs and societies and clean streets are great, but I

Agreed. Add colour and/or text to this pie menu and it is perfect. The most well-known implementation of the concept was in the Sims 1, where actions for the active sim were clearly labelled. The menu was a nest of unlimited depth. Goo

Growing up in the UK, everyone I knew used it for VCRs, DVD players and digiboxes. It always made a notable improvement over the RCA jacks, and I longed to get the SCART cable for my PS2 (never did). Famously bulky and stubborn with their w

Sure, but that indicates institutional rot. If the people who write NTFS drivers (i.e. its devs who love Windows the most) can't push back on user hostility and short-sighted decisions are made constantly then we have a company that ha

A bit of a leap to go from EU-mandated speed limiters to a transfer of sovereignty. If anything it shows how little control NI, and indeed the Republic, has over its own laws.
