Lot more expensive than browserstack. Any reason?

This is nice, but it suffers from the same flaw all the other virtual browser services suffer from: No pay by the minute/hour. I probably only need 1 or 2 hours with IE 8 every month or two.

I looked into some cloud solutions, but they are rather costly. If you could pay by the hour rather than month it might be more of an option.

Might as well just install VirtualBox, its free afterall. I stopped using VMWare when I had to buy it again for Lion.

I appreciate that it's got a responsive design. Very clean layout. I'm not so sure I like the PHP mixed with the HTML. A lightweight templating system might have been a nice touch.

I figure those folks using IE 6 or 7 are used to a lackluster internet experience. Little perks like this are not critical features and can be foregone for this small userbase.

It really depends on how deep these things are. When it comes to certain matters such as faith, family values or even programming habits they're much harder to change. Sure, anybody can try sushi for the first time when they're 50.

This is especially true concerning the mind. The older we get the less open we are to new ideas. Once somebody is fully set in their ways it's almost impossible to change their mind without divine intervention. I just take this as a warn

You have a good point. It really depends on how well of a fit the audience in question is to your content. If you're trying to build your own community then it makes sense to maintain your own comments and moderate them yourself.

This is just the first time I've seen it. I wonder what the policy is on creating an off-site mechanism to post to Hacker News. I looked over the various APIs and none seem to offer a method to post a link. They're mainly read-only.

What I find most interesting about this post is that the comments section is replaced with links to Reddit and Hacker News. Not a bad way to stir up attention to a post.

I don't think this "service" will even be successful. Domainers certainly don't want to share their business matters with their Facebook friends. And business owners may spend several months developing a site before publishing it. No timer

The main problem here is consumers don't want to pay $400 when they can pay $200. If they're going to stick with their carrier for the long haul the 2 yr contract isn't really a problem. It comes down to upfront cost and the carrier will a
