Similar experience. Google products in general are becoming really tedious. It feels almost like these companies have too many devs just cramming in features to justify their existence & year end performance review, rather than consider

The aliexpress 8 port managed 10gig switches are like 120 bucks now. I just don't see the point in playing along with the vendor's games anymore - licenses, locked ports, even sceptical of ubiquiti after their ill fated attempt to

Interesting how sharply media pivoted in coordinated fashion to control the narrative. Note how there was a similar FT article a couple days ago. Huge public backlash against AI, physical attacks on Altman, Booing at graduation ceremony. Up

Yeah its better to avoid rj45 entire for 10gig if one can. It's unavoidable though for some places. e.g. A lot of consumer boards have a spare X1 PCIE slot...which is enough for 10gig if its gen4. ...but all the 1X cards I've seen

Id be more enthusiastic if I could buy starlink at a valuation based on starlink. Instead we’re getting a shitsandwich of a combo stock with a pile of regulatory manipulation on top

That’ll do precisely zero to protect against the effect described. In fact the opposite - the dividend paying stocks will by mathematically necessity be among those ETFs sell down to buy these IPOs
