5.2 is noticeably more security aware than 5.1 5.1 was happy to log in to a server that has kubectl access to check out why my k8s isn't doing the k8s thing. 5.2 just straight up says nope can't use those credentials that's u

Exactly. Thus far I've seen 1 person use it...and they seemed to believe it provides rowhammer benefit...so somewhat tangential

I don't even want to fkin know. Literally everything the UK gov has announced on online anything lately has been dystopian misguided bullshit.

I'm a little puzzled by the uproar given that all the oneline chatter seems to suggest nobody is using this. If this was AVX512 or something I could understand the give it back reaction...

The price looks kinda rough. I built a server that stomps this for under a grand (vs their 4k). Stronger CPU, likely faster ram, optane zfs cache instead of nvme... Admittedly my 1 grand is referenced off pre AI insanity pricing. Call it 1.

Not sure I'd go that far but I do use them almost exclusively for my coding on the basis that it is an acceptable trade-off. Far cheaper and my shitty apps are really not that valuable as training data

I don't think the out loud or someone listening / reacting matters at all here. Suspect it's entirely this: >The thought that was comfortable as a vague impression has to become a sentence, and sentences have structure. It

I wonder how much of this effect is attributable to: A) Crap marketing departments slapping AI on everythign B) Actual organic hate for AI a la booing at graduation ceremony

The whole thing seems like nonsensical. Their website literally has chinese characters on it even in english mode and everyone under the sun including crappy money talk show hosts know them as the chinese player that undercut western player

That’s what happens when you offer something decent at a fraction of the price of opus - more demand than you can serve

It’s pretty good. More talkative than 5.1. Reminds me of deepseek 4 Their servers are melting though - getting more timeouts etc

I've got a mix of both running here and definitely prefer the SFP+ part of the world. Couple of neat tricks it enables like the new "invisible" fiber - looks the same like fishing line basically. Unless you're 30cm away

The UK gov's approach to internet regulation is absolutely cancerous. Fully expect pretty much all countries to follow suit though. The "think of the children" angle to force dystopian surveillance is just too neat of a trick

The headline is correct. The popular ones like uBO are 100% dead on Chrome thanks to googles coercion. They didn't just "switch". They had to fundamentally change how they block ads and the new version the adtech company forc

It’s quite possible that they’re worse but I doubt it. If you have one product line where error will go undetected and another where it will be visible to the user (and result in returns) the manufacturer incentive is in the opposite direct

Think with these low end decoy triggers you’re lucky if it implements standard never mind the optional parts. You could always request a non optional feature and convert it up/down yourself

Why is curl catching so many security issues? I can see something like nginx being in that spot but curl is primarily user initiated and pointed at a known target rather than internet facing accepting connections

Don’t think you’ll find it cause it’s not an issue with the decoy - that’s the expected behaviour. 12v isn’t mandatory. Which is insane but here we are. On the plus side some of the bottom tier anker chargers will do 12v. Plus I think the v

Interesting. Will definitely use this. One scenario I can see it working is writing markdown specs before the coding starts and analysing it for gaps. That’s so few tokens that throwing as much LLM against it as possible is worthwhile regar
