GitHub Actions runners are based on Ubuntu, and from the Repology link it seems ValKey is in the "universe" repository which is a community supported repository and therefore might not be enabled by default.

That's why they suggested checking protondb, it really depends on the type of games you play. All the games I play work fine on Linux, but if you want to play Fortnite or League of legends then you're out of luck.

By the way, Mojo seems to have given up on being a strict superset of python, I think they're aiming for more of a C++ to C relationship where there are some small differences, but the majority of code will work without modification.

They probably use (based)pyright which is much faster than mypy and ruff which is much much much faster than pylint.
