True, but for that I'd need to constantly ignore files from my linter.. Also not an ideal solution. To clarify this happens more for sass or css projects where variables need to be set according to the base library and linters go nuts

I use sublime, but I meant that each third party library has their own idea of linting, some use BEM some use camelCase etc.. There's no way to consistently lint them all. Linting is a great idea in theory but in practice there are way

I expect that it'd be difficult to get people to switch... Perhaps you might offer a self hosted cms or something for FOSS projects..?

No no no. Linters. God. I tried them and none of them managed to play nice with all the various libraries... All I got was a mass of ugly highlighted 'wrong' code. This after I painstakingly made my own linting rules.

The problem of course is them storing private credentials on Github despite numerous highlights on the site to not do so. Private github sites are private as in hidden. Not as in digitally encrypted bank vault. What sort of tech company doe

Firefox lost its biggest use case.. The extensions. Besides, the new version is similar to Chrome in memory usage for multiple tabs which is HUGE disappointment.

My personal favorite is lazy loading a traditional grid system with Javascript if there's no css grid support...

For me the web is more alive than ever... Just look at the way static websites are taking over.. However JS is the real threat to websites, react and its ilk are not amenable to being stored long term.. Too many things break.

You forget that before the internet, paper publishing was a thing and that actually cost money. Moreover most scientists are not tech savvy.

Actually... I hate the implication that learning can be helped by videos... I see VERY little written content... Especially for engineering and physics...

The general trend is to decouple the asset-pipeline and the site generators though... Except for the amazing jekyll-assets... Even for jekyll-assets though, it's often faster to run stuff through node-sass first. Also with npm scripts

Please tell me there's some love for pandoc... I'm very confused though... There's no mention of the markdown parser being used... Pandoc is essential for cross-platform content (md --> doc, epub, pdf, html) and for MATH!!
