Not surprising. I'm generally shocked that the people that comment on youtube videos are actually able to turn on a computer considering the quality of their writing.

Actually I think daily might work out better for most people since it allows for smaller projects and also taking single day holidays etc. when on a long contract. I used to charge £500/day until I went permanent. I only went perm. because

Most quants use functional programming to some degree when not locked down into C++, be it in a specifically funcational language or not. At least in London F# is commonly used in Credit Suisse, Barclays and UBS that I know of. Heard that M

My thoughts exactly. Needs to be done though unfortunately. I'm going to get some chainsaws and duct tape and attack it on Monday. Mondays suck anyway so it can't make the day much worse.

I have a 1134 line function with zero tests defined for it sitting open in the background which most likely scores something like 32 out of 11 on that list. I'm afraid of touching that monster...

Never was an issue for a family of four, when I lived at home. Tumble dryers normally ruin most clothes quicker anyway. I always air dry mine.

If you start from the second paragraph in the 'Alan Cooper's ghost' section there is a sort of tl;dr summary.

I think this is a pretty good idea, I really hate shopping because there are simply too many options and I don't really have an eye for how things look until I try them on. And after trying on the third sweater I'm just fed up. Also I didn'

Correct, hence "all of the mirrors" :) But it is a good point that it's surprising not to have Project landing page. There was a mailing list discussion on it a while back, can't remember what the maintainers said was their reason for this.

I don't think that applies in this case does it? On the front page for all of the mirrors it says: "The latest release (2013-04-03, Masked Marvel): [R-3.0.0.tar.gz], read [what's new] in the latest version." With the [] as links to the rele

I don't think that's a viable solution. Some of these are quite complicated and replicating them in-house is not something you just up and do in a short time. That tactic might expose you to significant downtime.

Yes, a heap of firms have found these methods, they don't post them on HN :) One would hope that most people would do that, unfortunately too few people pay attention to saving at all, let alone allocations that fit their needs/profile.

With the changed in PSN+ over the last two years and the inclusion of all the free games I'm sure in the next generation I'll just go for a PS4 and PSN+ yearly subscriptions and that will cover all my gaming needs.

I'm assuming it's cheaper now in Thailand. I paid less than that for mine 14 months ago in Iceland. Also surprised that the halo lasted so long for you, my light sensitivity was back to normal after 3 days.
