Did HN destroy the site? When I click all I see is "Bad Gateway". Anyway, I use the app and find it helpful. I'm astonished that the microphone on my cell phone is sensitive enough to pick up birds up in the trees.

I went down a bit of a rabbit hole on something related. My cousin found a mechanical pencil (in my recently deceased uncles desk) with my late father's name on it. My father's been gone for nearly 60 years so this pencil went way

Thanks for clarifying that. Sounds like a training ground for the artists (until they are fully replaced by digital tweening.)

Question: Does this mean that animators draw every 2nd or 3rd frame and then some technology interpolates the missing frames? It sounds to me like that is not fundamentally different from interpolating 24 fps to 60 fps. I suppose there are

I'm a little sad to see this. I've been using ZFS on my PCs for years with minimal issue and significant benefits. [1] I've even contributed [2]. And I remain a huge fan. I don't believe that "everyone is just guess

Yes, my method too. I'm a little disappointed the article did not mention this. Since lime juice is an ingredient in my guac, that's handled and I don't have problems with the guac discoloring unless kept too long.

That doesn't address the constraints that are typical in embedded systems such as limited memory (RAM) and the expectation that a program will run forever. There are resources oriented toward embedded C++ that address these (at least m

I wonder if that argues more to AI vs. Human "editing." It seems to me that an AI would be less likely to catch that when it's composing a story from sources in the Internet.
