I did a bit of reading on this, and it looks like the main admin was arrested weeks before the phishing campaign went up. It seems therefore entirely plausable that the admin handed they keys to the castle to the FBI anyway, or at least gav

This whole comment is incredibly overreaching and reflects a lot more on you than the GP. You should probably try and re-read it and take stock of where you're at.

For the record, 95% (literally) of the world are not Americans. If someone isn't an American, that doesn't make us European ;).

The issue here is the consumer laws in your country. If my 3 year old AirPods developer a manufacturer issue, Apple would be required by law to replace, repair or refund, free of charge.

I find it interesting that you see this as an "asshole tendancy". I don't believe most people in my country would take this as an insult. There are many people from many countries (and subcultures within those countries) with

They don't. Preservation notices are incredibly rare, and no drag net requirements exist in Australia. CSPs are free to store such things, but generaly don't - beyond required metadata.

I have a full rack, all cooled, runs pretty quiet. It all just comes down to design. If you just stick in old random enterprise gear, you'll have a bad time.
