I switched to Google Drive and plan on switching to Syncthing once I get off my lazy ass. I already have some stuff on Syncthing and so far so good.

Not using the brakes isn't particularly good from a maintenance perspective since your brakes will rust and stop working.

There's no ignition in BMWs anymore. Even if you don't go for the full keyless package, the start is still keyless. You just pay extra to have the doors be keyless too.

Probably power-wise, yeah. Most keys only have little coin batteries and people want those to last for years. I have a "smart" BMW car key and it inhales the battery. I don't think it can go more than a couple of weeks withou

You should probably not use Facebook then. How is it that the answer to an American megacorp trying to hoover all of your personal data is to try to get another American megacorp to add universal barricades to your device?

Wouldn't creating an archive on the filesystem and then deleting the archive cause more writes than just creating it without a delete?

I have a 1000 W e-bike in Europe (Finland). Like a 250 W one, it's road legal and restricted to 25 km/h. The only difference is that I'm required to have liability insurance on it, which is about 100 €/year.

You don't really have to record the phone call. If anyone in the press wants to hear them saying that they don't block legal content, call them and ask about Steam. They have a ready-made PR response that they will read to you.

There actually was an incident last year where a man fell to his death at a construction site in Helsinki. I think the man's companion said there was a small gap in the fencing at the time. https://yle.fi/a/74-2011

I doubt that Dropbox is able to compete on price against companies like Google, who can bundle all of their Google services in the same package as Google Drive while being able to reduce hosting costs through sheer scale.
