This is amazing! I just spent yesterday writing a separate app engine service to use cloud datastore even though the rest of our stuff is on Firebase (RTDB wasn't a fit for us). Great to see this is out

The 6DOF tracking only works on the 6S and up. On older devices you get 3DOF

Yeah Jump is a cool rig but that's 16 cameras in a circle, not a stereo pair.

I am also interested in this. I've seen work done in generative models for voxels but nothing in meshes unfortunately. I also haven't looked quite that hard.

This thread has brought up a rather unknown bias a lot of non-game software engineers have, that game dev is rather easy compared to other software. Having been on both sides of the coin I gotta say they're equally challenging problem

Well that didn't take long at all since Uber acquired Otto not too long ago. It's interesting to note how many precautions they took including a police escort, careful mapping, light traffic, and weather.

If you watch the lectures, I highly recommend the projects, some of the best projects in a CS class I've had.
