I read that as "it's not worth the negative PR of being associated with AI firing minimum wage employees" compared to just paying them for a year or two.

Is it that Europe doesn't have any open data analogues of the SEC, or is it that each European country has its own open data analog?

Excel works, the VBA macros with random business rules work, people with business knowledge know how to use it, the workflows are set up. If we were starting from nothing it wouldn't be built, but the value of what already exists is ma

I'm glad that it's not a negative in this case! If the owner is waiving fees sometimes, then obviously they don't think it's an issue.

Thanks, I had misunderstood. It eliminates the legal consequences of conviction (unlike commutation) which is similar in a lot of ways, but it doesn't erase the conviction from the records.

You sound like you are advocating for commutation, not pardons. Commutation lowers the penalty given to a criminal by executive decree (which the president can also do) A pardon makes it so the conviction never happened.

A lot of advancement is multipurpose. CNCs are more accurate than machinists, computers are faster. And we have a lot of the technical knowledge written down.

Depending on the development cost of being in the cloud, it was probably the right choice. Optimizing for cost per user when you don't have product market fit is probably the worse early optimization.

So I allocate my one BTC to lightning network A, so I can spend it there. I try to spend it on lightning network B and it rejects the spend because it's allocated to A in the main blockchain, even if I never spent it on A. There exists

Dumb point, but you said SEC. But they don't have authority over commodities, and aren't the rules different for them anyway? Other than that, I think a lot of what you said was interesting.

There are multiple competing lightning networks? I don't get how the lighting networks prevent double spending then. It seems like a major issue when dealing with multimillion dollar transactions.
