I use gab quite frequently but mainly for the memes and jokes. The vast majority of people on there use pseudonymous aliases anyways so no one cares if the site gets hacked. People on the right-wing have also been subject to extensive perse

Reminds me of the old pets.com business model where the business lost more money as it scaled because at a fundamental level, the business was more costly to operate at higher scale.

I use a xiaomi phone and the reason I use it is because it is significantly cheaper compared to a samsung or apple phone. Example: A $200 xiaomi phone is equivalent in specs to a $600 Samsung. Also it is likely the Chinese are spying on me

If you look at the list of stocks you can all see they are super super tiny companies so likely it is fraud schemes aka pump and dump. That's when a small group of people (typically) organize an effort to pump a stock using false infor

I personally just use tails. Takes a few minutes to boot into and I love it. Then again I don't really use TOR all that much these days but anyone who needs maximum security (journalists and the such) is likely using something like tai

I was looking into this and I am thinking that the solution is actually not to weatherize the grid but rather to have each home be able to be self-sufficient for a certain period of time. Perhaps having micro grids in communities and maybe

It is like that because of social media and news outlets that basically produce "confirmation bias" news that has no other intention but to reinforce one's own existing beliefs. Both sides do it so it is not a partisan issue.

Mexico is smart though because they have LNG import terminals. There is an incoming LNG carrier coming in less than 24 hours which will restore their power.

I'm in Dallas too. What we did was pull out our generator that runs on propane then run an extension cord from the garage to inside the house connected to an electric heater. Close the bedroom door. We were about 75 degrees. You are cr

You look at the management team and see if they have potential. For example, a SPAC with a "google executive" would be more desirable over some no-name person. Same for the type of companies they're targeting. An industry lik

That's from a business perspective. I'm talking about from an investing/speculating aspect of them. One of the reasons why SPACs have become so popular among retail investors is because of hype on social media around them.

It is easy to see it as "doing nothing" but the reality is your risked your money during a period of time which was very uncertain. Uncertainty = higher risk in terms of stocks. The reality is you took a big risk and you got a big

I invest in SPACs regularly and have made a killing off investing in them. Plain and simple, SPACs are all about hype in terms of how much hype the target company can garner. I only buy pre-LOI SPACs and then consider selling them on the me

Tough on crime isn't purely a republican stance though. Democrats worked hand-in-hand with republicans in the late 1980s to push through many tough on crime policies. This was due to crime skyrocketing in the 1980s due to cheap and abu
