It's still the only open source image program I know that will not only let me print, but also show where the image will be on the page, and let me move it and scale it up/down. Seems like overkill, but I keep it installed for tha

I'll go ahead and say it: Android is a great product that I use and love. I'd rather not be pricegouged by Apple, and who knows what horrors Microsoft would be inflicting upon people right now if they had captured the phone market

Sure, confirmation bias exists, but you can compare with the alternatives. E.g. a search engine can give you zero useful results, and you can fine tune your query and still get nothing after scrolling through pages of results (Do people rea

Makes sense. You still might get honeypots though; could you make cred work more generally with trust between friends, friends of friends etc. without compromising the markets?

And instead of just shrugging it off, you could tag strangers that annoy you and end up with a giant list of grudges against a whole host of people. The false positives (e.g. twins and doppelgangers) should make it interesting.

I'm no fan of Microsoft, but Bing's image search has been better for a long time. Google also removed functionality for no apparent reason.

In my experience, Bing's image search is way better than Google's. Also, I'm not going to use a search engine that I have to log in or do a captcha for.

I don't disagree with you. China clearly takes advantage of asymmetries, and will gain more power as a result. I just don't agree with the idea that it wouldn't happen to the West if China didn't exist.

China didn't draft the West's policies. If the West openly signals its own weaknesses, that is not China's problem. Globalism destroys cultures and ultimately statehood; China understands that, but the West is still firmly in

Thanks. I remember I managed to download packages from Melba but I had no idea how to get them to load, so it meant trying to learn Lisp while also trying to learn how to configure Emacs, while learning unique keyboard combinations etc.
