It depends on how good you can hum, I tried couple of english songs (Fix You, Ophelia, etc) it was around 18-20%, "Kya Hua tera wada" a Hindi song was matched with 48% I believe

While I agree with your logic, a small correction: for India the data you found would probably be per capita and for USA its per household (which I think constitutes 3 or 4 members). So something like 10x difference
