It sure did. We could've had at least one open-source, configurable, programmable browser for power users, now Firefox is removing XUL, and power users don't have a choice of a browser anymore. And for what purpose? Mozilla's

Is Ruby supposed to be an example of "not dying" language? Because it has certainly passed its glory days as well. Also Common Lisp is better in every way ;) There's even a JVM implementation (ABCL) for people who like that s

At the time this was released, the game performed terribly (as in, incredibly slowly) on all but most advanced PCs. The "real gamedevs" (such as Carmack) were trying to optimize for performance and working on the most possible har

I can't look at the word "toot" without being reminded of a terrible, terrible Alvin and the Chipmunks song where it's an euphemism for farts.

As much as I dislike Trump (for being an obvious Putin shill) and Twitter (for the mindless 140-character "discourse" it propagates), it is absolutely not Twitter's fault Trump got elected. It's that Democratic Party has

Why was it flagged? Saying that Assange is Putin's stooge is allowed, but not Snowden even though Snowden actually lives in Russia? Double standards, anyone?

This is great. I dislike the Gnome project itself, but they have some subprojects like GIMP that would benefit from this. Props for not just moving to the most popular service cough, Python , but the one that is actually free software.
