That $160 includes the royalty. It's the decision of each photographer whether to ask for one. If you don't like that, google for "royalty free stock photos", which is the much more popular way of licencing photos. Even Getty has such a sec

But you have to admit the "guy insists on doing things unnecessarily complicated and falls on his face" trope has a strangely entertaining aspect to it :)

Interesting part: "In 2009, it was reported that the 43 Azerbaijanis who texted in votes for Armenia in that year’s contest were summoned to the National Security Ministry to explain their actions". I'm surprised that this country was allow

You can play both the keyboard and turn the knobs at the same time: press the number keys on your keyboard for the keyboard, use the mouse for the knobs.

As a European, I'm again and again surprised how many American media and other entitities try to be non-political. In my view, everybody is political, and speaking ones mind advances society. Why is everybody trying to stay neutral?

To sell a successful corporate wiki, you need hundreds of plug-ins to handle all those special cases that each company inevitably has. That would be your biggest stumbling block, because creating those takes time, and that's where Confluenc

Great stuff! How difficult would it be to have the sliding gestures on the keyboard itself? Keeping my fingers at the same place would make things even faster... Also, have you tried experimenting with acceleration curves for moving the cur

We (25 people company) use Confluence, and we all truly hate it. The design is attrocious. It's ugly beyond the pinnacle of ugliness. We tried to use some custom styling to ease the pain, but Confluence uses so many badly designed elements

Very cool. This would imply there is a superfast method to select a paragraph and extend to two paragraphs: Doubletap with two fingers, then drag up/down. But unfortunately, this doesn't work (it starts scrolling instead). I would hope that

Yep. There is even an undicoverable swipe gesture accros the keyboard (just like grandparent suggest Apple would not do): To split the keyboard into two, do a unpinch gesture (two fingers start in the middle, one goes to the right, the othe

It's interesting that most puzzles got solved faster than if one person tried it alone. And that's without an option to talk to each other. Seems that you're tapping into some kind of "swarm intelligence" that humans use rarely, but animals

I've seen several Showscan films, and I loved them. I think the biggest problem is acting. 24fps lays a veneer of "movie look" over all performances. With higher framerates, actors can no longer count on that. They have to sell it much more

"otherworldly" is just a nice word for "1920s technology". Getting closer to reality is a common thread in the arts. As soon as man had a way to move from one-color cave paintings to using colors, he started to use them. This is the artisti

Bad review. That "video look" he's mentioning is the absence of 24fps artifacts I'm very glad we get rid of. He could as well just have written "meh, reality has a video look".

I agree 100%. Also, the page down key doesn't work correctly anymore: It scrolls too much. For me, the lacking page-down-usability is enough that I would never even consider placing a fixed bar on top or bottom.

As far as I'm aware of, the blockchain only gets signed every few minutes or so. So how can you achieve this low latency? Do you just base your decision "x has paid" on the still unsigned chain? That's quite risky and open for exploits, isn
