I use Guake as my preferred terminal on Linux for this reason. I love how I can just pull it up over everything and put it away with one key press.

If I'm foolish here, then I am to still be less foolish than someone who doesn't know when to simply keep their opinion to themselves.

I mean the ranking system seems somewhat incomprehensible, I've seen posts with 2 points on show as there are right now. Which to me means those rankings don't contribute much to moving onto show vs new. The FAQ says things move o

Yeah sorry I may have been too harsh in my initial reply, and really nothing against you in particular, but I did get through it feeling a bit angry over it. FWIW, I agree with some of your points for sure and disagree with others I just fe

We use the exchange of money to approximate value. You won't pay me $1,000 dollars for my mousepad, because you don't value it at that. Someone around here used a bad example of rigging art prices, but the reality is, that paintin

It's a bad piece of writing. That offered no value. Every business uses the language Bezos used, and it also is very much up to interpretation on their view of value creation and consumption.

First I clicked on this hoping it was some interesting thing to learn, and then I saw it quickly devolved into another Bezos rant. Second what weird quibbling over standard language. I read this and feel like I'd prefer to have my time

I think this is excellent advice, and I appreciate you taking the time to say it. I'm making some changes to how we frame things site wide (including what you have suggested) to hopefully fix that problem.
