Yes, new plugins are written in Lua, and this one wasn't. That is what is too bad. Previous comment was written on my phone and it decided to autocorrect Lua to Lue.

Vim is basically dead. Most new plugins are written in Lue (for Neovim). I don’t like Lue much but it’s 1000x better than vim script. I occasionally tweak my Neovim plugins but don’t bother with those written in Vimscript.

Yeah, but weird/unfortunate that it's written in vimscript.

Not free or open source, but Mixel[1] is fantastic. You can find recipes by name, by ingredient, by taste. You can say what ingredients you have, and see what you can make, and you can even have it calculate which ingredient, if purchased,

I mean even campfires and smoking in public have negative externalities which cause cancer. The marginal cost of each is tiny and probably hard to price, but it has a price. Adding this price would slightly offset the cost but more importan

I’m against a ban. That sort of pollution is an externality and we could price it in.

I similarly would have issue with the non-deterministic behaviour. I use space hammer and bind many apps directly to a dedicated chord each, so I know that (hyper)-b is browser, t for terminal, s for Spotify (or songs) etc.

The second you have any `unsafe`, Rust is _by definition_ not memory-safe.

Those of you who are interested in Zig and like embedded stuff, you might find Microzig a lot simpler to grok. It's just an SDK (for a bunch of different mcus) that has its own build tools, HAL, and drivers. https://microzig

Think of every location in the game as accessible only after certain events or items are acquired. You can create a directed acyclic graph (how build systems figure out dependencies!). You can randomize all the locations of items, as long t

On windows you make system calls through the DLLs because the system calls can change on you. On linux you're pretty much guaranteed that the API to the kernel will not change. It will get extended, but the semantics of old calls will

What are you talking about? Anki explicitly has the concept of 'notes' from which one or more 'cards' are derived. You can absolutely easily make custom decks that only have certain card types.
