But much of the money went to American businesses and jobs. The stuff itself can easily be replaced.

Sadly it would be a big problem if we went 20 years without a war, the military would be greatly deteriorated.

We're never going to pay it, and no we couldn't have gotten universal healthcare. If they had the votes, they would have done both, regardless of cost. They don't have the votes for universal healthcare.

There isn't an "opportunity cost" as the article discusses, there's no evidence that Congress would have spent that money on something else. It doesn't sit in an account and then they allocate it, they make it up on

Unfortunately you're both right, and companies are making huge profits at the expense of their employees typically measured in time and mental health.

That sounds cool. Sorry to offend. I just picked up Patron, which reminds me of old Sierra City builders I used to love like Caesar 2, but with quite decent graphics.

I just can't make time for games that don't look good anymore. They don't have to be cutting edge, but they can't be plain, without lighting or an interesting color palette.

Isn't it more remarkable if something grew in a straight line? A spiral shell is just: progress forward as you grow in diameter, maintaining contact with yourself on one side.

The title as worded implies that Amazon kills its own retail stores as a business choice. The article is about how Amazon kills other peoples retail stores, which, duh, and thank God.

What about only including data from places people want to live? You can buy a house in South Dakota for 25,000, but that not useful information when looking at national housing inflation.

20% of dollars in circulation were printed in 2020 and the inflation is filtering down. Also inflation statistics are intentionally blurred. Look at housing prices or other individual metrics.

I'll take this article as a sign that Austin has peaked and will be overly full and horrible shortly. I have my eye on a job that's going to open up there in a couple of years, but it's just too popular to stay good.
