> 11. One of the biggest differences between a senior engineer and a junior engineer is that they’ve formed opinions about the way things should be I don't like this one. IMO it tells you nothing and assumes everyone shares the same

I'm in a project using scrum (scrumbut - but I attribute that to a failing of scrum). There's more talk about story points and planning than there is actual development

I'm yet another person who dislikes QR code menus. Most of the time it doesn't work and when you're travelling with iffy data or battery then it's even worse.

I like it because it's useful. It executes in a browser and manipulates the DOM. I don't think anything else can do that. Libraries like React allow me to reason about websites declaratively.

Yours is the top comment on this thread and it's a bit surprising. When you say less than 5%, what are you talk about? Can you point to any sources that back that up?

I don't think seeing developers as users is interesting but I definitely think that DX impacts yourself users experience. So in that sense your DX is your UX.

I am seeing a nightmare scenario where hr-types push something like onto teams. We'll be expected to spend time taking videos of ourselves and our morning routines or whatever.. instead of doing what we were hired to do.

Ugh, this role screams corporate bullshit. In 5-10 years in the role OP described you are pretty much useless. You're not 'leading' anything and you're barely 'tech' at all. You send emails and attend meetings.
