The nice integration between OSX, iOS and Apple TV is not enough reason to jump to Apple TV just yet but I'd switch in a heart beat if/when they add App Store to it. What's crazy to me is that Google develops the Nexus Q, and then makes t

That comment was in the context of startups in general. As a gamer, I consider the game development practices of Zynga disgusting and if I hope that they fail, it's so that other companies are wary of trying to replicate their game designs

The last game i purchased from Steam was roughly a little over a year ago and up to that point any game downloads would take days. I'm not on any kind of uber-fast connection (10mb) and never had any issues with any issues streaming or dow

In addition to the other posts, Valve has built up a solid amount of good will with the gaming crowd. They might not have the best support, but their actions up until this point suggest they take gaming seriously and just don't see all thei

It's not really an ideal situation that software distribution would be a high-margin business in the first place. Typically you want distribution and infrastructure businesses to be competitive spaces with prices driven down towards costs,

It doesn't sound as bad as you make it out to be. If a charity really does need a warm body for some task(s), then what is the harm in paying someone to do said task? The charity gets the work done the same as if a volunteer came in. You ma

That wasn't "lock in" it was an opportunity, they sold these folks on lower costs (since Classifieds were a money fund for newspapers) Landlords hated the extortionate prices that the newspapers charged but they didn't have an alternative,

It's hard to compete with a site that is both free and "everyone" uses already. Both of those are very strong barriers to entry.

If you don't like the site, don't like the UI, and can't stand the UX, then don't use the site. Nobody is forcing you to search for an apartment on CL. Nobody is forcing owners to list apartments on CL. Apartments aren't a fungible item.

Yeah, I'm in a similar position. Every time I have to use Craigslist I come much closer to hating the team behind it. I mean, I know it's probably not rational, but I think they are being shitty people for locking up so much useful data beh

As long as the courts reward that silliness, they seem to care more about hurting competition to worry about whether they should continue on this path.

The core of my disappointment is the expectation of future development that comes with buying into a relatively new piece of software. I don't know. This doesn't seem like the most useful stance to take when buying new software. You are a

I would argue many of the editors are as emotionally attached to the control they have over articles as well, if not the subject as well. The issue is that without paying people, you aren't going to get a lot of people who aren't emotionall
