IMHO, firing someone who owns up to a keystroke mistake like that is wrong. Good managers fix the problem, weak managers fix blame. Root cause analysis + countermeasure might have boiled down to "operator error due to shitty interface

I have had good luck with Toshiba satellites. Running Debian on a P750 currently. This is my second Toshiba with linux, don't have any issues.

I don't think it was _terrible_. It just doesn't give as accurate results as Google in some searches, I assume due to the rafts of information collected about users - a trade off I will make happily.
