Telegram Desktop is very good example of modern desktop client done in the most efficient way. C++ and qt, nothing else. Works like a charm an all major operating systems. Easy to install, use and update. Great stuff.

What about templating, middlewares, security, authentication, authorization? Do I need to glue this from custom libraries to the web server myself every time I start a new project?

Poor impulse control on both sides. If you are incapable of distancing yourself from not so mean or angry comments like that you should not be let handle customer support.

Any canche to see ARM binaries pre built? Would love to run this on raspberry pi / pocket chip. Also planck had io support. Are you planning to add support for io in idiomatic clojure to your project?

I never understood why rails has javascript helpers at all. It just does not bring any value in the long run, just complicates stuff. Rails should be js libraries agnostic and not provide any js related helpers out of the box in my opinion.
