You can try for more runtime type safety (except it's still unityped), if you also use generic function call. Still ugly however, but at least usage is somewhat sane (even if compiler still won't inform you about errors). pa

Waste of pins. You would need to quadruple number of pins or so (with a square shape, it may be worth to just have rectangular to just double). It is possible, fairly sure, but not really practical.

These ns/iter values seem crazy (a sin function that takes 1.5ms is just really bad). There is implicit loop when using Rust benchmark features, no need to put your own loops.

In C-like programming language (yes, I know that == may not be string equality and so on, but that's a minor thing) it could be written like that. if (line == "" || line[0] == '#') continue; Seems fairly st

Not really that dangerous, I think it's more of an issue of having code written before strict aliasing rule. Essentially, what strict aliasing rule requires is that user cannot go crazy casting pointers. Casting float pointer to int po

It does try to vectorize it (doing multiple math operations at once is faster). (1 * 5 * 9 * 13 * 17 * ...) * (2 * 6 * 10 * 14 * 18 * ...) * (3 * 7 * 11 * 15 * 19 * ...) * (4 * 8 * 12 * 16 * 20 * ...) (it's not precisely that, but clo

The thing is, many compilers just assume that undefined behaviour won't happen, without defining any particular behaviour. And testing for something like pointer alignment on architectures that silently allow pointer misalignment is re

Compiler is allowed to assume alignment of pointers (what are you doing is creating a pointer to a value with invalid alignment, hence undefined behaviour (just creating a pointer is undefined behaviour)). The correct solution would be to r

Pretty sure ZSNES is written in x86 assembly, so it wouldn't run all that well on Raspberry Pi, which is using ARM CPU considering that you would need to emulate an emulator.

How is that better than purely HTML/CSS attack (or even telling a person to use `curl blahblah | sh` command)? This particular attack doesn't work when not using keyboard to copy (think select to copy (traditional X behavior) or u

If you could change meaning of int to be 64-bit type, then your code ABI ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Application_binary_interface ) would be essentially incompatible, and you wouldn't be able to use code (such a

This is a feature. See https://github.com/fish-shell/fish-shell/issues/683 . It appears to work in bash, but only because globs simply write themselves if they won't find anything. The behavior is misleading. But also having to escape ? is
