Sugarmate is a fantastic app/service that will call a phone number with an automated message if your Dexcom CGM falls below a certain threshold. It’s allowed my wife and I to sleep a tiny bit better knowing if our son’s blood sugar goe

IIRC the Dexcom G7 will have the transmitter built-in (and thus will also be disposable.) I'm happy about this b/c transmitter expiration anxiety is real with insurance companies being so stingy - you're lucky to get your new

Yep - my 10 year old son has a x2 pump and a Dexcom G6. Hopefully the software starts to improve at a faster pace with smartphones becoming more tightly integrated: https://www.tandemdiabetes.com/landing-pages/remote-bo

I don’t abuse it. If I enjoy a book, I keep it - even though I’ll likely never listen to it again. But if I slog through half of a book (depending on the book it could take a month or more to get to that point) and it feels like an awful sl

I've spent a lot of money on Audible (and have a subscription) and part of the reason is because I can return books if they wind up being awful or are simply poorly produced (tin-sounding audio, awful narrator, clipped audio, etc.)

You keep making these false statements. .NET is open source. You're not dependent on Microsoft at all if you don't want to be. If Microsoft closes shop tomorrow, .NET will live on. You've got a minimal amount of .NET experi

Hate Microsoft much? You’re not selling anything to Microsoft. You sound like you just stepped out of the 90s. As for the misinformation about writing 5-10 times more code than other popular languages, which languages would that be?

Real meetings, zoom meetings, most of them are a waste of time and resources. I’d rather have my time wasted in the comfort of my home.

Your civil liberties don't give you a right to get other people sick. My son's a type 1 diabetic (this isn't a matter of diet, exercise - that's type 2 diabetes.) Diabetics are at higher risk for complications from COVID

You're wrong. Deeply wrong. There is no deep psychological damage. Children are not fragile snowflakes - they're adaptable, resilient little humans. That's why as a species we continue to thrive. Stop inventing new problems t

Republicans have faced fewer accusations because they have not implemented as many of the restrictions that public health experts have called for. It's hard to break rules that don't exist.

Once you've started an engagement, you probably shouldn't up and quit because you disagree with a decision. As a consultant there's only so much you can do.

Also: when the client makes sub-optimal decisions you can take solace in the fact that you won't be around to deal with the consequences. And if it causes you to bill more hours - it's a bonus!

They're constantly retooling their factories. My dad worked at several GM factories for nearly 40 years. I feel like every year or two GM would announce a huge spend per factory to retool/upgrade/etc.
