Combobox, then. They stay open once you click so you don't have to drag, but I've seen many users do the "click-and-drag" with it anyway.

You speak of culture like it's some sort of sports competition. Curious mindset.

He's probably upset at investing in a pre-1.0 software (apparently he spent "weeks" making pagination work) and then finding out -- gasp! -- it isn't completely stable yet.

Eh, there's a history behind the franchise. It's not like Irrational started out with a story and turned it into an FPS. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_Shock_2

Usually not that much, but still significant. My own Silex app had response times reduced by 1/3, and memory usage dropped by almost half.

I suggest you hold off until they fix the most crucial issues: players may lose their cities (some have lost days of playtime), or get stuck in rollback loops. Have a look at the top stickied threads here: http://answers.ea.com/t5/Miscella

Considering that many players have reported being able to continue their games for ~30 minutes while disconnected, it's safe to say that the portion of the simulation that's offloaded to their servers is miniscule at best.

I don't know about Rails, but as a Symfony2 user, it's actually a bit on the slower side compared to other PHP frameworks. But ~300ms server response times is nothing if your end user has to wait 5-6 seconds for the page to render due to su

I have the 900, and while I really like the OS, the form factor is slightly unwieldy for me. The 920 is even bigger, so I'm looking at the 820 instead. Pity about the lower pixel density on that one.

I posted a question in the other thread: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=5171025 Turns out the matches are determined by the beginning character of the string column. For example, if the user's token is '5feZas0352f', the query SE
