Well, I guess we'd just have to go back to reposting Aaron Swartz articles.

I can't even begin to read that graph. "Indexed revenue" instead of number of units sold? "n=16,754 online shoppers" but the article says "panel of 4.4 million online shoppers"?

Really? If you were to ask me and my friends "which company made Doom 2016 a success", we'd reply id Software, not ZeniMax. The "video game consumer audience" probably doesn't even know ZeniMax exists.

Interesting. I've heard about Van Halen specifying "no brown M&Ms in the candy bowl" in their contract rider just to see if the venue managers actually read it. Maybe you fancy yourself to be a rockstar?

And here I was thinking that it was Apple and the iPhone that effectively killed Flash. Silly me.

The original paper (with author names) and the plagiarized version (also with names) are linked below the article.

In that case he's got it the wrong way round. Let me put it this way: is he also going to ask about the candidate's religion, expecting the answer to be "I can't answer that"?

Ah, the sheer irony of RollingStone lecturing other media outlets about journalism ethics.

Adapting doesn't necessarily mean assimilating -- it can be "code-switching" in a cultural sense.

Even if you run your business from a server rack set up in your own house... who has control over your DNS? Dyn? How about your domain name? I've had a website temporarily taken down due to an invalid complaint from Amazon, and it wasn

The rate pertains to Glacier's "retrieval" of the file and making it available for download, not the reading of the file from your end. (If you end up never downloading the file, you still get charged)

This is a good change. The stupid former "rate-based" system meant that if you stored a large file (say, 10GB), you'd have had to pay quite a bit of money if you tried to retrieve just that file. After all, you can't con

As someone from SE Asia, I find it mind-boggling that just about all of the comments here lump "Asians" and "whites" into the same category.

Title seems misleading. The author already acknowledged that the financial contributors wanted to remain anonymous, so this is just namedropping high profile users.

Game companies also make a truckload of money when they add more microtransactions to their mobile games. Does that mean it's good for consumers? I'm an Apple customer, not their cheerleader.

https://acko.net A jaw-dropping website by Steven Wittens that pushes the boundaries of what your browser can do. Nothing I've seen has ever topped this wizardry. (You should view it on desktop, with WebGL capability.)
