My ISP (KPN) actually does still give out static ipv4 addresses by default. I don't think it's technically static, since they don't make any claims about that, but mine hasn't changed in the 2 years since I moved to this

I recently noticed the Spotify app does this as well. Ever since I've just been trying it, and have been coming across a surprising amount of apps that have the same behaviour.

I think in semver 0.4 usually means 0.04, not 0.40..., so it should be lower than 0.25. Edit: nevermind, I misunderstood your point

Unfortunately Claude Code seems a little too "smart" for that one. Its response started with "I notice you listed 10 frameworks, not 9."

Personally a big fan of 1Password. On the topic of autofill, the only website it sometimes won't fill is Reddit, which you know, whatever, I never go there anymore anyway. As a developer I also love their ssh and gpg integrations, very

Do you have any kind of source for that? A bug report or a PR or something? Also how would backing up specifically to rtf or txt help? Just back up the original doc files.

A lot of developers think code should be self-documenting, which I fully agree with. Unfortunately though I don't think I've ever worked on a project that was actually self-documented, even though that is what the leads wanted.

Oh yeah, I forgot all about those! The ZX spectrum was way before my time, but for some reason I still spent a lot of time typing code over from a magazine into a spectrum emulator as a kid.

E-ink is already pretty expensive as a display technology, no way anyone can make a decent e-reader that you can "throw in a pocket and not worry about damaging" for £8. Maybe if it has like 8 "pixels" total.

Locality is different from language. In your example, it would have to show you the local German news, as that's local to you, and it would have to show it to you in the first supported language in your accept-language header. Personal

Ah but I suppose that only works if you keep the "Reopen windows" thing checked? I think shutting down without that is the same as just quitting the app, which asks if you want to save (can't quickly test this out as I have t

KDE's KWrite is also available on macOS if you don't like TextEdit, as well as Kate which is more of an alternative to Notepad++, practically an IDE. Kate is my personal favourite text editor.
