I agree with the premise but not the justification you use. I see the opposite at work, where the submitter is changing the intent of the author. Sidenote: Why would someone down vote this parent comment?

Amazing how one word can change the tone of an entire article. Though this seems slightly different from the actual article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Snowden

Yeah, that's always the rub isn't it. I have had very similar experiences with various projects that get a quick round of visitors early on then they dwindle to literally 0! Maybe you could stick some google ads on it to try to make up that

I like to ask if "this" solves a big problem for them, if it makes their life easier. Is it something they feel compelled to use once they have started using. It can get dicey when you ask too many hyper focused questions as you can get peo

This is a design trend I've noticed on a few blogs recently. It does link you back to the homepage of Framebase which is somewhat useful but I honestly am not sure what the purpose of this effect is either.

The low-power position is really interesting, this is definitely something I have noticed myself doing and then trying to consciously stand up straighter to combat it. I'd say sometimes I go too far the other direction and am way too casual

Yes, $20 for you is too much, but there are lots of people who have no idea how to do a bash one-liner (me being one of them actually). I worked on this project a while back and posted the list for free for over a year, not sure why it's a

Yeah, it was probably a little much. The site has been up for quite a long time and I thought it might useful given the circumstances. Should I have linked to it more than once? Probably not.
