Not only that, the single FP and double FP were provided as optimized subroutines. I was never hampered by inadequate FP performance for simple control tasks.

What is the process node used? Who is fabbing this for them? Given that the new chip is bigger, my guess is the same (old) process node is being used. RP2040 is manufactured on a 40nm process node. Whoops, I read the fine print: RP2350

A 2-input TTL NAND gate usually consists of 5 transistors: Two multi-emitter transistors (counted as two separate transistors here) One phase splitter transistor. One pull-down transistor. One output transistor. The multi-emitter transistor

C'mon. This one-pager is a recruiting document. One wants 'true believers' (intrinsically motivated) employees to execute the mission. Give Ilya some slack here.

These efficiency limits are true for P-N junction solar cells. There are other solar cell types which can ultimately achieve higher efficiencies, but they are currently lab curiosities with low efficiencies.

Unfortunately, the poor ADC performance is due to a design / simulation error; at least you have to give them credit that they 'came clean' on the crappy performance, and explained it in the official documentation: https:&#

Quite simply, the VAX group won. Marketing believed two product lines competing in the same space with incompatible software would not be in DEC's best interests. As I worked in the -10 group as a coop, I was bummed to hear that decis

Well.... I really liked the pdp-11; for years I had a pdp-11/45 in my living room, but eventually sold it to downsize to a couple of H-11 LSI-11/2 machines with dual 8" floppies. Why? Well, the pdp-11, besides being the unix

They are not this simple; if so, an RLS (Rain / Light Sensor) assembly would cost 50 cents. To do a proper job, you need an array of IR emitters, and an array of detectors; and they need to be properly integrated into your windshield

This precisely correct. The board hires & fires the CEO. End of story. When the board is unhappy how the company is being run, their recourse is to...fire the CEO. What is unusual here is the wellspring of support from "the tr

Maybe you've found the solution: RV32 must have the C extension. RV64 and RV128 must NOT have the C extension. Problem solved?

Couldn't Google (who after all does Android) simply declare that the 'official' RV64 is IMAFD (aka 'G') CJQTVPBHLNSUX ? (or whatever makes sense, given the android roadmap). https://en.wikichip.org

Thank you. As for SI, I have never liked the 'non-thousands' submultiples e.g. centimeters. I think it's confusing. You have km, m, and mm. factors of 1,000. Seems reasonable. Just like we have F, mF, uF, nF, pF for capac

do you know why "mm" (which to me means "millimeters") is used with $ values? I mean, a house can be $ 250K, a mansion might be $ 1.1M, and our national debt might be $ 34.4T. OK, I understand those. How does 'mm&

In the USA, bolts can come in plenty of sizes, but 2-56, 4-40, and 6-32 are common small bolts. You want metric? You would think 2mm, 3mm, 4mm would be enough, but no! There are 2.5 mm, 3.5 mm, 4.5 mm etc. Are these 'necessary
