That isn't a thing that happens anymore, because passengers don't tolerate anybody making trouble. This double-doors stuff is alarmist theater for a fabricated threat.

Not a chance. This is more security theater, meant to remind people to be afraid.

Discord is "where information goes to die", so for that reason I think there's relatively little risk of lock-in from discord. The history there might as well not exist, so there's less reason to stick around instead o

This seems like a canned retort intended for usual cases of randos complaining about how a subreddit is run. But it doesn't work in the context of this discussion; if Reddit admins don't like how a subreddit is run they don'

The website works fine unless you enable javascript. That's usually the way it is with these sort of things. The webdev or CMS creates a perfectly functional website using HTML and CSS, then some javascript is added to shit the wh

I don't think anybody really thought much about it before the discovery of the Antikythera Mechanism, but at least in retrospect there seem to be clear reference to such devices in ancient contemporary literature. Particularly, Cicero

If anybody cares enough to pick over your code 30 years later, that probably means you were very successful at what you did; at the very least you had a hand in creating something people care about, which is more than most programmers can s

When you have to collapse a dozen worthless discussion trees to find one that is actually discussing the topic instead of spamming lame reddit narwhal memes, I think it's fair to call the discussion derailed.

When I say full-size, I mean a plausible NEMA 5-15 replacement exclusively for DC power; something that you could reasonably run at least a kilowatt or two through, and with a mechanically robust design. It should be able to power a toaste
