The issue is still open here: https://developers.facebook.com/bugs/838833329491346/?search... I think the guy on the ticket didn't really understand what I was saying. I'm happy to provide any extra inf

Last time I used Parse the Android SDK had a crippling bug that made it unusable. This was version 1.8.0 I believe. Essentially Disk I/O was using the same synchronized lock as the main thread. On some devices this caused a reproducibl

What I should have said was, "not once did he come forward and say it was him, while Ellen Pao was taking the heat ". Of course, once Ellen stepped down and Yishan already exposed Alexis, he admitted it. For the sake of this dis

Uh, unless you consider Yishan Wong (former reddit CEO) publicly stating it[1], and Alexis himself admitting it[2] 'speculation', then I think the evidence is solid enough. [1]: https://np.reddit.com/r/TheoryO

Off-topic, but isn't Alexis the guy behind firing Victoria and setting Ellen Pao up for taking the wrap? Not once did he come forward and say it was him. I've heard he's an intelligent guy, but I have a particular disgust for

I wrote a small implementation of ListView in Kotlin a while back just to try it out [1]. The pros are pretty cool and some of the issues I mentioned in the readme have been fixed now (multiple constructors). There are still a couple of is

Ha, awesome! Personally, if I happen to see the name of the brand I'll avoid buying their products (if reasonably possible).

That doesn't really morally justify the lies though... "Hey, FREE SEX!! Nah, just kidding, but buy our stuff".

You're right, perhaps that's not precisely the correct term here.... "Psychological trickery" or just straight up lies maybe. As it's essentially trying to paint a picture of the game in your mind that's just n

There are plenty of apps on the App Store with using Flash (Adobe AiR). As well as other languages like JS (React Native, Titanium). I think you're thinking of when iOS decided not to support Flash in the browser.

Huh? You can use C libraries on Android with JNI & the NDK. In fact it's how most games do it.

This is exactly the problem I'm trying to solve with Curated[1]. The Play Store is filled with low-think, one-tap junk these days... Finding a good game on the Play Store is almost as hard as finding a science show on the Discovery Ch

That doesn't really solve the problem unfortunately - if the app is already on Google Play then F-Droid isn't needed. What F-Droid needs (maybe it already has these things too?) is: 1) It's own URI schema for these things - s
