Ah ok thanks for trying that!! I thought it was just the way it was from now on. FWIW for me that button is not even appearing anymore.

Yeah they should just use another cloud to serve the files. Using your main competitor is really disingenous, because they can glance all kinds of usage data from it (if not more) I'm not sure why this is done because this kind of file

They do but it's not nearly as low-power nor as constantly available as Intel ME is.

I've tried them but they're nowhere near Lenovo quality sadly. Unfortunately Lenovo is on a downward trend with ever less travel with each generation so I guess they'll be on par in a few years :(

I thought it was something like this at first but no. It suddenly happened around the update to 107 and happens for every site and container. Maybe a bug? Ps: I'm on FreeBSD for which mozilla doesn't make a version so I'm usi

Still impressive. It works pretty well and without that cloud that Google likes to tell us we really need. Google is a bit better of course with many common expressions but I'm sure that can run locally too if they'd want to. Mozi

They just changed something though that breaks it for me. Previously there was a manual translate button. Now you can only set up automatic translation with an exception list. This is really annoying for me, I'm learning Spanish and I

I could imagine a super low power coprocessor that's always on would be a real useful tool. It could check my email and other low power tasks. And remote management isn't bad if it's entirely under my control. It's the c

Also they have matte screens and real keyboards. The 2015MBP one was the last one that was passable for me, what came after is horrible. Even the new MBP that has real ports again is still not as good as the 2015 in terms of keyboard.

The real-time nature is not what makes it closed though. It's simply that it's been designed to be closed. For example, Intel's ME could be a really useful feature if we could do what we want with it. Instead they lock it dow

On NTFS no, but Win 10 still makes shadow files on filesystems without metadata, like exFAT. Not sure about 11 actually as I don't use it much. I forget the name but I believe it's the filename prepended or appended with an unders

The dotfiles are for metadata that the non-Mac filesystems can't store. Coloured labels, icon position, longer filenames, creator info etc. Windows actually does almost the same thing. Thumbs.db etc. And it also creates shadow files fo

Hmmm.. I've had several ExFATs corrupted on their own here. I would concur with its alleged unreliability. And fsck.exfat didn't fix it so I had to spin up a windows just for that :S It does show that journalling is really not a c

What's really the problem here is that they take it away without choice. There's nothing you can do to keep it working as it did, due to iOS being so incredibly locked down. Because this has been used as a free-speech feature whet

Sponsorblock is great, it really makes some videos watchable. Though in general if there is a lot of sponsorship in videos it usually means the content itself is also really mediocre and spammy so I don't tend to watch those anyway. Th

When I still ran my own server it was a pretty heavy load, like 30% or so. Much more than a minor nuisance. But it was a SPARC server with 1 core at a few hundred MHz and no crypto acceleration. As you can tell this is a while ago :) So yea
