I've written down (typed) my thoughts for almost 20 years now. They're mostly just some sort of ideas that pop in my head; usually inspired by something I've read. Lot of them are just app / business ideas. Usually a few

I did this one time when I saw a particularly beautiful scenery. I could remember the elements mostly, but didn't quite manage to capture the beauty of it.

People should be asking where this money comes from, and if it's not ever paid back, who doesn't get paid back? It's not a problem for you if you can take a loan and you don't need to pay it back. You should get as much

The compression should be semantically lossless, but lexicographically lossy. It should find ways to say the same thing in less characters. I.e "Sky is blue. Ocean is blue." -> "Sky and ocean are blue."

It's a little bit more than that. Gaussians are view-dependent, which means that they can capture the full radiance field of the scene, rather than just the color and geometry of the objects. All the light bouncing around from differen

I'm pretty sure these "activists" are sponsored by oil and car companies. The idea is to provoke aggression towards climate activism, which would lead to increase in ICE car usage.

Well, patents are certainly a good way to create monopolies, which wouldn't exist in an actually free market with no patents. In addition, there's interventions in place which don't allow certain tech exports to China, for ex

It's better to grow what grows best in the local environment. You can't grow everything everywhere. Everyone would be really limited in their choice of food if everything was local. Unless we're using some kind of greenhouses

Why would you want less efficiency? If we had solar panels which power robots that grow food for everyone, you would want to destroy those solar panels and robots? Is it a 'sin' that humans wouldn't have to work?

Is anyone looking at the stars itself? Isn't modulating the light from a star the easiest way to transmit information afar? This would be the case if you want someone to notice. If I was a digital superintelligence, I would try to conq

It should probably show "range-range", i.e the range of minimum and maximum range with the current battery status. For example: "100-300 miles", rather than "300 miles" which it currently does.

Yes, that's quite likely how they come up with this number. But is it enough? What's the most energy dense configuration that can be made with room temp SC and does it compete with lithium batteries?

▲

That's what I meant. It states energy density as 40 kJ/L. Lithium batteries have energy density up to 2.5 MJ/L. Fossil fuels and hydrogen way more.

Can you point to a source of these superconducting energy storage mechanisms? How do they work? I briefly looked into it and found out that at least the current ones have very high power density, but low energy density.
