I actually tried, but it didn't work. Barnes&Noble just wouldn't let me place an order (but still let me create an account on the US store, weirdly).

Sadly, the DRM-free versions of his books seem to only be available on US stores. I tried to buy The Stormlight Archive from Australia but could only find DRM'ed copies, probably because of international publishing deals. Still, I wis

Call me an old man yelling at the cloud, but I just don't understand the hype of connected lightbulbs. In absolute, would I like to be able to turn off the lights from my smartphone? Well, sure, if there was absolutely no cost to it. B

Well, I hope your monitor is ok. You're talking about the popularity of Linux as an alternative, I'm talking about its viability. It's viable because it runs web browsers just as well as Windows and that's all the averag

If it comes to this then desktop Linux will go from viable Windows alternative to obscure hobby OS overnight. The inconvenience factor of having your life split between two devices is just too high. This is the same way that SafetyNet kille

But the question is, who and what is going to be allowed to connect to the corpweb. Running an adblocker? Sorry. Using a non-Chromium based browser? Nuh-uh. Running an old machine with no TPM? Sucks to be you. Running a Linux distribution?

Even assuming the VM workaround works, this would be catastrophic from an usability standpoint. Linux has been making giant strides towards increasing accessibility and lowering the friction of adopting it as a daily driver, while preservin

Oh they could make it work. But what they actually want is to funnel people away from 3rd party apps an into the official one. They could have just removed the API, but instead they set it to a ridiculous price that no app dev can afford. T

They're clearly not trying to sell it as a gaming product. But assuming the device is successful enough, there's nothing stopping Apple from selling controllers as add-ons in the future (for a hefty price of course).
