Neat idea. I tried it on my site ( https://anderegg.ca/ ) which already inlines its CSS, and got an error from the underlying library ( https://www.npmjs.com/package/penthouse ): {"error":t

It changed with the introduction of HTML5. It was one of those ideas that’s great for spec nerds, but flew in the face of previous standards compliance. It’s something I used on a lot of sites in the 2010s, but that I no longer have access

If you use GitHub Pages, you can then use the built-in local VS Code (“github.dev editor”, which is separate from Codespaces) to create and edit posts. I wrote about it here: https://anderegg.ca/2024/10/16/usi

For context, Joost de Valk is the original creator of Yoast SEO — an extremely popular SEO plugin for WordPress. He's also one of the people Matt Mullenweg banned from WordPress.org on January 11th for "starting a fork" (whic

Automattic has over 1,700 employees. [0] They had more than 1,900 before the buyouts and departures. [1] With that many people, I’m sort of surprised that they only had around 100 full time staff working on WordPress core. [0]: https:/

Nope. I just prefer Craft, and I think it's a much more stable platform in terms of leadership these days. I also think it provides for a much better developer experience. Just opinions, though. I currently don't monetize my blog

I wrote a piece yesterday about the recent WordPress drama, including this bit. A fun thing I learned while digging into it is that Mullenweg himself requested that the Slack channel for this team be set up live on stage at WordCamp Europe
