Amazon is still facilitating it. If you’re selling guns to someone you know is a a serial killer, “someone else would have sold them a gun” is not a defense. Edit: especially if you run ads about how effective your guns are for serial killi

Encrypted data is uploaded to some Mozilla server. From there, the the encrypted data is copied onto some sort of storage device (USB stick or DVD), which is then inserted into the non-connected machine where it is decrypted.

AFAICT, the opt-out stuff only applies to selling data, and not using it internally for ads or whatever. Seems like this won’t hit Google or FB very hard.

So I guess C++'s optional type is for a completely different purpose from other languages, which is why I think I was confused.

I guess I don't know why you'd even want an optional if it wasn't for the safety. Without compiler-enforced null checking, I don't see why you'd want one.

(Disclaimer: not a C++ programmer) I think the difference is that * and -> are normal things to do on a value. Other smart pointers also overload those operators, so it isn't an obvious red flag. For example, look at this code:

Apple already has screen sharing via iMessage. This looks really cool, but probably unnecessary.

While it may make sense as a simpler option for less security-critical stuff, I don't think it will ever be as secure. The virtualization helps, but you are still decrypting documents on an internet-connected machine.

When it works, the butterfly is great. Feels a lot better than older MBP keyboards. However, it does have frequent issues. If Apple can fix that while keeping the feeling of typing, it would be great.

The problem here is social engineering. If someone says "click these buttons in your phone's settings, sideload our app, and you'll be able to do X" (where X is "pirate movies," "mine bitcoin," etc),

Cynicism aside, YouTube is a typical example of a good use for autoplay. A user clicking a link to YT almost always wants to watch the video. "Predictable" probably wasn't the right word for them to use, but I think this is a
