Yes, why not, that seems reasonable. Your price is $60 plus up to $20 additional fees. I think I got an offer like this from Sonic on the Bay Area. They would eat up all fees exceeding the declared maximum. (Or I'm making this up, was

It's better in exactly one way: you understand upfront what your internet is going to cost. The same argument goes for including the sale tax or many gas taxes in the displayed price, (or displaying the price including VAT in EU). FTR,

I understand it says that working on a filesystem, you get the power to really fuck up people's lives (by introducing a bug). Other way of saying "this is really fun, you get a lot of impact and therefore a lot of responsibility&q

The choice they have (as is mentioned near the end of the article) is to pay them themselves (cost of running business) and include them in the advertised price (like it probably is anywhere in the world outside the US)

Bought it. Still love the form factor of this thing and I use it (with Fedora) as my private device (mostly running Firefox, some terminal, calculator, etc)

On Fedora, it's touch-friendly from the get go. No tweaking required and all work sensibly (zoom, scroll, focus, text selection)

I like the form factor. Small but not too small, ok keyboard, good hardware: i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, converts to tablet. I run Fedora Linux after removing ChromeOS (the only thing I'm missing is running Android apps). Bought used for

It's actually easier than what the document shows you: Once you get to the Debian shell do apt-get install firefox-esr instead of installing the flatpack. I assume they don't tell you that, because then you end up with the Debian

Rabbit hole indeed. That wasn't related to my job at the time, lol. The job change came with a company-provided computer and that put an end to the tinkering. BTW, I found my hacks to make runc run on Chromebook: https://git

When I got my Chromebook in December 2020 or '21, I installed Firefox inside the Linux container (not via flatpak), and run fast.com for lolz, only to realize I got better speeds in it than in the native Chrome. What killed it for me w

Based on ChatGPT, assuming 10k lines translates to around 30k words, it should take about 3hrs to read it. Multiply that by your favorite factor for read and understand. Split that to a few people, skim parts that are not applicable etc. Al
